Its not meant to be tgif and definitely not a spelling error. It stands for thank god for great inventors and their inventions. First one on the list is Thomas Edison for electricity. Then there is little known Nikola Tesla who actually did a lot of the work Edison lay claim to. Then those guys who invented air conditioning,..ya, ya its affecting the ozone layer but in the sweltering heat..wld you jump into an air conditioned room or rather "melt"". There are also those guys who made cooking so much easier. You've got rice cooker, steamer, oven, double boiler, blah, blah..the list is just too long. Most cooking cut down in time and preparation plus it may just turn you into a chef. I just got myself a steamer..i think the next indulgence will be griller. Even prettying yourself is made easier..there is the facial steamer, eye lash curler, not to mention the ubiqutious hair dryer. Isn't life so much more fun nowadays?
