My date at Mama Mia
No handsome guy, just 10 year old Gina keeping Mo Mo no 2 company for Mama Mia. But first of course, to go to the arcade. Of course, she knows the way to go from Mandalay Bay. Up the escalator, past some shops. The cutesy outfit shop for dogs..Justine will love that. All the imaginable possible attire, leashes, soft toys, cushions..you name it. Even matching Tees. But what a price! So no shopping. Then we walked into The Sphinx. Immediately you can feel the difference. Its like being underground and walking into the pyramids. We hit the arcade, what else will amuse a 10 year old. After some attempts, having got some free tickets, she decided to take the dracula teeth..so ugly. Well, one man's meat another man's poison. Thankfully we didnt spend too much time as it was time to go back to Mandalay. Got ourselves a drink, then we went in. Good seats, 7th row from the stage. Very good view. Then the lady from New York sat next to me. After her story of waiting through the storm at JFK airport and arriving only yesterday morning, i am beginning to appreciate how lucky i have been so far. And she was heading home on a early morning flight. She was there because her client's daughter was playing Sophia that night. Well, it meant we were going to get the very best performance becos obviously this lady is known in the theatre circles, either as a show promoter, or talent scouter, whatever. I noticed too that the leading ladies somehow tried to focus their gaze and singing in our direction. Lucky me. And some of the lines were so funny not to mention, who cannot sing along to Abba? I do, i do, i do...
