Itchy bawah
Hahaha, all of you who understands this phrase, don't your thoughts go haywire. Simply a matter of itchy feet and like the hokkein says, kah hway. How tired can you be when you are so so excited, what jet lag can there be when you have spent 20 hours reaching your destination. Plus with the bright sun light, how to sleep. The body wont even consider it. So after some time spent at the reception, armed with the cultural map of Moscow, i decided not to spend the 2,000 roubles on the taxi fare to Kremlin and decided to venture on my own. Since its my first evening, thought i should instead perhaps play the typical tourist and go look for souvenirs. Viola, on the map its written Arbhat Street, eh, old Arbhat Street. Took the hotel shuttle to the metro station and after much pointing at the map plus sign language, bought my first ticket. It was only the next day that i realise that each metro ride is flat 22 roubles, i think one of the cheapest in the world at usd70cts only per ride, as long as you dont exit the station and get in again. I suppose there is also a cheaper rate for mutli fare etc but not knowing how to speak Russian, didnt know how to ask. Not to mention the clean stations and beautiful architecture, art in the metro. We'll talk abt that later. Ehhh, not so easy you know taking the metro when you are clueless abt the Russian language and understanding it. The M word, is not for Mcdonalds. Its the Metro station sign. Looks like part M & M too from a distance with the color. Name of station i was going to get to the hotel, FILI..how do i recognize it,,simply checking word for word against the map. Never have i used or valued a map so much in my life. It was my compass in Moscow.
