Yipee!! in Moscow

Visa/checkpoint was easy, much easier than i thought. Pre conceived ideas and notions of a Communist country legacies should be out of the window for 1st timer to Moscow. Even luggage was easy compared to other countries i have travelled to. Then a huge surprise. Moscow is warm and SUNNY. Its about 20 deg when i arrived but felt like 25deg. Sun is out in all its glorious intensity. Then i remember geography..Moscow is near the Artic so why didnt i think of that. Sun rise at 4am and sets after 9.30pm. I was told in St Petersburg, its even longer...envy the American lady i met on the flight who is going there by train. How romantic..Dr Zhivago's tunes in my head
