che zeey

The Japanese are so creative..they can turn something which we take for granted into a snack to go with their sake or beeroo (that's how they call beer) or milk to (milk). This is a cheese snack..cheddar slice wrapped in a pastry and then fried. Its crispy, the pastry slightly saltish.. i think they use the tempura like flour but not really it either. And then when you think you have been fooled, you bite into the cheese. Notice i say cheese, not melted cheese. Its deliberately not melted i think so you can still feel the bite of the cheese. If it has been melted, i think it would overwhelm the whole pastry wrapper and then you will not be able to taste the difference. Something so simple but yet turned into a savory snack. And to think this is the last piece and between Julianne and Justine, they had to do a mini mini minee more..huh, and then tear up and to be shared. And che zeey is not spelled wrong,,its spelled the way the Japanese would have called it. The gals are going to kill me..i went to Wasabi at Bukit Tinggi last night with Alice, Wynette and Teh and ordered the gyu tongue, the ham wrapped in enoki and tomato yakitori like sticks....so delicious. Well i didn't have to drive, so it was ok. Promise i will take you both there soon...when i get back from SF ok!!! hahha
